Baby

Baby is a native macOS app for collecting visual references on an infinite canvas — a fast, local alternative to juggling folders and preview windows.

Drop in anything

Drag images, video and audio straight onto the board, paste from the clipboard, or paste a URL and Baby downloads it for you. Video and audio play inline — audio becomes a scrubbable player card — so references move and sound rather than just sit there. Originals are never re-encoded.

Arrange and annotate

Pan and zoom from a whole-board overview down to a single pixel. Option-drag to duplicate, crop and trim non-destructively, and drop in colour-coded sticky notes that scale with the canvas. One command tidies the board — or just your selection — into a packed layout and zooms to fit.

Yours, on your machine

Every board is a self-contained .baby document holding your original files, so you can save it, move it, or export the whole board or any selection as a PNG or a zip of the originals. No cloud, accounts or subscriptions. Baby can also pin above your other windows with adjustable opacity, so references hover over Photoshop, Blender or Figma while you work — built in SwiftUI with zero dependencies.
